As the world changes, Swipe Out Hunger’s commitment to students remains consistent. We launched new initiatives in response to the pandemic, engaged thousands of students in advocacy, and provided over 200,000 warm meals when students needed them most. From the moment my friends and I began Swipe Out Hunger in 2010, our organization has challenged colleges to reimagine their obligation to their students. The gravity of that obligation has risen to significance this year.

While our organization has grown, four things have driven our programming over the last decade: student power, innovation, sustainability, and destigmatization. It is these values that will guide us as we seek to fundamentally end student hunger over the next 10 years. I am proud to share Swipe Out Hunger’s impact, expansion, and movement over this last school year. Click around and hear directly from students on the power of a meal.
